Diving deep into the Beatles fandom

The Beatles is a british band that started playing as we know them, back in 1962 and they split up in 1969, they started a revolution in several senses, they inspired other bands from that era and were very succesful in their times. They became so famous an inluent back then.

The music is really important and interesting but that is not the whole thing, it was and still is a cultural phenomenon, a style, an influence.

The Beatles left 13 albums, a lot of singles, 5 movies and millions of fans all over the world. We all have in common the taste for their music and an admiration for each one of the four guys from Liverpool.

There have been lots of fan groups, now it is easier since there are digital resources where people can communicate with each other no matter where are they from, there are videos in YouTube, groups in Facebook.

There are lots of tribute bands all over the world, their albums are still being rereleased with never before heard music, there have been lots of documentaries in recent years. It is clear that Beatlemania is far from ending.

Several modern band have been influenced by the Beatles music, there was a kind of revival during the 90´s, due to nostalgia maybe but great bands like Oasis, Semisonic, Fastball and others were clearly influenced by them.

All this hype have been good for the sales but we all know that not everything has been good since a fan was responsible for the death of one of them.

The Beatles are still relevant since new generations have access to the music and all the things they left, they influenced their own generation and their legacy still lives with us.

As fans we have a responsibility with our contemporaries and the time and space we occupy. we have to share. Not only knowledge or facts, which of course, we know a lot, but also love and enthusiasm, the feelings we have for them, the sense of admiration we still feel not only for them as a band or for their albums and songs but for their personas, for who they were and are and what do they represent for us.

It is very shocking to consider what would be a world without the Beatles, lots of things would be different. Technology for concerts, the crafting of music videos, music of course, a sense of freedom that came with them. There is no way to know exactly how the world would be without them, what things would be different in the arts and show business but we are sure that the world is a better place because the Beatles existed.

That's the importance of Fandom when it comes to the Beatles, there is still material to be known. I'm sure there is a lot of people like me who is still waiting for Carnival of Light to be made public.

The Beatles are still relevant and vital to the present life.
